So this past summer, out of pure boredom, my friends and I decided to put together this little video. Some of it is a spoof, some of it just makes fun of the show, and some of it is just pure fun, and then the serious ones!!
Now this video can be found on THAT site.
In the search box, type in "Broadway the shows that made a difference". It's the first one (the image is of 2 people).
What do you guys think?
I found it very cute and entertaing as a set of spoofs and recreations, but I don't think it's a good list of shows that made a difference to Broadway -- there are too many musicals from the past five years that have yet to make any impact, plus some (Lestat, Spamalot) that I think will have hardly any impact on Broadway even in years to come. But it was cute. I just think it's marketed wrong.
Its a youtube video, I really don't think we should be concerned about that.
I loved it.
Link for the lazy.

You're right. But I think we were just aiming for spoofs of shows and decided to entitle it "Shows that made a difference". I can think of so many shows that actually have made a difference. These were just some we could have fun with.
Thanks for watching it though!

I wasn't trying to put anyone down...I wasn't sure if "what do you guys think?" meant was I entertained or did I think it was a good representation of musicals that made a difference.
Ha, I thought this was going to be a pretentious Deep Discussion We've Had A Million Times thread. I'm so glad it's not. Cute video.
Given the inclusion of, you know, Legally Blonde (amongst a few others...) I do have to say I was relieved by this:

Hahaha I feel like I should totally delete this thread as I am probably embarrassing my friends and making a fool of myself!
Aww. That was adorable.
You guys can dance!
Honey, theatre is all about making a fool of yourself, and taking pride in it!
I thought you guys were fantastic.
I think it's great that you have friends that share an interest in theatre, especially since you guys are so young. I bet your neighbors were like, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON when you started waving that red flag in your drive way.
Loved the Hairspray bit, also the ACL part. I could never do that! Good job
What fun. I wish I had grown up with you guys.

Well, Robos, I think Little Shop of Horrors opened in the 80s.
Oh, wait, it opened Off-Broadway. Your reasoning is correct.
The Glinda wig would have been perfect for a Hello Dolly, IMHO. But great video. Well done.
Very cute and funny. Looks like you've got some great friends who just like to have fun. That's awesome. Thanks for sharing!
Awww that was fun! We actually did a school project that was kinda like that way back when in high school. Nice job guys! Looks like you had a lot of fun.
haha That was cute! I think Popular was my favorite.
Also, I ws impressed with the costumes. They looked like the ones in the shows for the most part (especially SA).

You guys are really good dancers! I loved that video! I'll be watching it again :) Also, dito to whomever said the costumes were great! That was so cute! I love it!
I'll chime in on the dancing also. You guys are good! The look on the dog's face in the Annie segment is priceless! I too wish I had friends like that when I was growing up! Good job. That was fun to watch.

Thanks guys!!! Well...I was a part of a conservatory group (before I left for college) where we would learn a small showcase with costumes and dance numbers and we would travel Miami performing it at different venues.
Hahaha, well the costumes are just a mix and match of all the costumes I've saved from Halloween and anything else that required a costume! The millie dress is actually 3 different pieces. She was completely safety pinned into it. It's was just pieces of fabric!
Uncageg, the first time we filmed the Annie segment, my dog actually up and walked away. Lets just say our Annie was a bit sad...hahaha, then we got him yawning and just couldn't resist.
Something great about Popular was we didn't have face point...so one of my amazingly smart friends pulled out a green highlighter and painted her face...if you look closely at time you can see a little green! hahaha
Yeah, well...as stupid as this sounds, for the Tony we dressed up as SA character...just to have extra fun at the party!
WannaBeAFoster, I actually love embarrassing myself, it's actually a lot of fun, but I just hope my friends don't kill me...hahaha...
Thanks you guys!!!!
Very cute!
I enjoyed it, very cute!
Florida, right? What town? Nice house!
