Luckily, not too many critics DID give this a good review, so very little respect lost.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I find the "originating a Broadway role" part a bit hard to swallow. If you read that whole article she tactfully goes about saying how she didn't get to dance and the part wasn't much.

She originated that role on Suddenly Susan, I don't feel like it's much of a leap to Broadway. That character sustained an arc for a while. It really does sound like she walked away nicely.

Personally, I am glad Shields is not in the show. I like her but not for this show. And I really enjoyed the show.

Actually, the Addams Family only ran for like 2 years. It opened March 2010 and closed December 2011.
