And if you call ability to survive on almost no attendance due to extremely low running costs "beating the critics," you and I have very different definitions of that term, CosmoQueen.

Actually, I would be interested in a debate the day AFTER the Tonys, IF you bring the $1 million ..... in cash.

I do not have money but I can promise a debate that will go down in history. Let's put it this way after the debate you will not be the expert on any site.........I promise.
"Also, cant the theatre owners "kick" Brooklyn out if it goes below its weekly nut two weeks in a row?"
Yes, Benzy. Broadway shows with open runs don't lease theatres out for a specific amount of time, regardless of cosmo's claim that she has a "reliable source" that BROOKLYN has a 12-month lease on the Plymouth. It just doesn't work that way, it never has, and I cannot fathom any circumstances where the producers of BROOKLYN would be able to negotiate a special 12-month contract clause on a theatre as desirable as the Plymouth with the Shuberts.
Veuve, you know that and I know that, but CosmoQueen apparently lives in her/his own little world.
It's called a "stop clause" -- look it up, CosmoQueen.

I'd say that I belive that BRRKKYLYLYN won't win any tony awards... but I don't have that kind of faith in the tony voters... I wouldn't take that bet... but that's just me...
