Posted: 12/29/05 at 2:50amOkay, my question is a bit different...what are some roles you'd like/think it'd be funny to see your favorite Bway stars act in even though you know they aren't right for the part...such as...Kristen Chenoweth as Belle (even though that's not a choice of mine)?

For me... Anthony Rapp as the Emcee in Cabaret. It would be funny, but it would be perfect.
Harvey Fierstein(sp?) as Tevye... Oh! Whoops! I do believe it's actually happened... *rolls eyes* I really did NOT like that casting choice...
Ok... how about... Idina Menzel as Eponine in Les Mis. That would actually be sort of neat! And Sutton Foster as Elphaba in Wicked! WHOA!!!

kristin was actually seen for belle at least once..she didn't get it..i am sure she is still crying over it..NOT!!! i think she would have been really good actually. she would have been SOO tiny next to any Beast! can you imagine her and chuck wagner together?!

Matthew Broderick in a role that isn't nerdy, dweeby and mousy(eg- Felix, Leo Bloom, his interpretation of Finch).
Hmmm...
Well if Disney wants to make more money and do a stage version of "Bedknobs and Broomsticks", I'd love to see Victoria Clark in the Angela Lansbury role.
I'd love to see Audra McDonald in "No Strings."
I would have loved to see a younger John Lithgow in "Chicago" (Jerry Orbach is still great though.)
There's probably more I can think of later.

Douglas Sills as Roger DeBris in The Producers(I don't know why, but I can just see him as Roger), along with maybe Rob Bartlett as Max Bialystock. I'd also like to see Roger Bart as maybe the Historian in SpamAlot.

Kelli as Glinda and Sherie as Elphaba.
I really, REALLY don't want them to do this show. But it would be an amazing cast - can you imagine Kelli's "No One Mourns the Wicked"?

Matthew Broderick as Sweeny Todd? I'm sorry, I can't see him as Sweeney Todd. If he were to expand his role choices, maybe. If he'd play someone creepy and intense one day, maybe. But if he sticks with nerdy, mousy little guys, it's hard for me to picture him.

On the other hand, can't you see how really terrifying he'd be, playing a psycho ax murderer who talked and acted and looked like Leo Bloom? Ah, it probably wouldn't work on stage...

I'd like Liza to go to VH1 and do the "David & Liza" show sans David. It would still have the dinner at Liza's place theme and guest stars, But no "you know who" trying to get his 16th minute in.
She would be too fun on a semi-realty show.
