Anyone else on this? Yesterday, there was a link to a password protected site, Letyougonyc.com, which linked to an image of an overturned wheelbarrow and map coordinates that, when popped into Google Maps, show the location for Ironside in Brooklyn. And the dates July 29-August 30. I feel like there are enough clues here that I should be able to work out what this is, but…I don’t have it. Anyone else?
Irondale, not Ironside. And the password is July2025 if anyone wants to look in the site. I’m not even sure how I ended up on this mailing list.
After entering the "password" a photo of an upside down wheelbarrow appears with the phrase, like the email, "A few things to help you get your bearings ... "

I got this too - I assumed it was because I bought tickets to his Uncle Vanya?

New email today allows you to buy presale tickets for his new play by Bubba Weiler (who I believe is primarily known as an actor?) at Irondale, without knowing any other details. Seems like a bit of a strange proposition that people would be motivated to buy tickets solely on his name and while I've enjoyed the work he's done, I didn't think he was THAT big of a deal to projects.

The LP from this is the same one from I'm Going To Marry You Tobey Maguire and Danger and Opportunity -- which may explain why you are on the mailing list. Doesn't explain why they think Jack Serio is a big enough name to warrant a campaign like this, however...
Yeah, the new email said it went to people who saw one of his last three productions. But it's asking if we want to preorder tickets to an unnamed play with an unnamed cast. And...why would I want to do that? It's really strange. Perhaps they just have nothing to lose in trying?
I think it's that they have everything to gain in trying. This email might not get them any ticket sales, but it does mean a whole bunch of people who might not have headr about it are now asking what it's going to be and that in an of itself is good marketing.
Hell, there's a thread on Broadway World about it...though I'm pretty convinced someone starting a thread about this on BroadwayWorld is sus and seems like it might be part of the marketing (and it's working so good job team!).

I just went on to look at tickets out of curiosity (I live out of town, so waiting for more info before buying) and it definitely looks like there are some tickets sold? I'm sure some are being held back, but I can't imagine they would hold back that many seats for a production of this size?

If it means anything, I started the thread because the first email was super intriguing but am now doubting why they're doing it, so...I'm just a sucker, not a marketer. :)

... this is a nuts cast?

it is in a 60 seat black box with a Tony nominee (quincy tyler bernstein) someone who is on Severance and hasn't been on stage in NYC in 11 years (Michael Churnus) someone who was a main role on Orange Is The New Black (Constance Shulman) someone who was just in Good Night and Good Luck (Will Dagger)
it's not giving George Clooney but for a black box play in Brooklyn this is a pretty stacked cast
I think if you look at basically any show running at any reputable off Broadway theater, this is what the cast looks like, lol. I wouldn’t call it stacked…it’s the same people you always see working off Broadway.
Anyway…great work from the marketing team. The fact that anyone reacted to this announcement as if it was anything unusual or exciting proves they’re doing smart work to publicize this,
Base on Serio’s previous work, I can’t say I’m too amped. Mostly found that he gets stiff and lifeless performances out of otherwise great actors.

Agreed - I thought for off-broadway (esp out in Brooklyn) this cast seemed pretty exciting. I also love Severance and have never seen Michael Chernus on stage so I'm into it.
