as i stated above, it was the way she used her negative post about BE and turned it into a rave for N2N
Ok, quoting trace's quoting of me... "So all in all, last night was NOT a good experience. I'm hoping (and fairly confident) that tonight will be a very different story at next to normal ~ especially audience-wise as I have yet to see the cast deliver a lack-luster performance there."
I clearly state HOPING and saying that in my experience I have yet to see the n2n cast deliver a lack-luster performance there. I didn't say they would or that they always do. I have not seen every show, and I'm sure there may be off performances. I wouldn't ever devalue someone's experience where they DID have a show where less than 100% was given as so many have my experience with Billy Elliot. And the hope also clearly states that I was also hoping the AUDIENCE would be better.
edit to add: Thanks Trace for "listening" to me. :) I really did want my family to have as great an experience at Billy as I had in London. It was just really disappointing to not feel any real energy coming from the stage.

I picked one up at the theater...and yes, I know I spent more for it than through Sh-k-boom. But I never pre ordered it and I couldn't resist getting it once there. I just got mine Saturday night...so I consider myself lucky if they sold out since then!
Re: the packaging. I think we are going to see fewer and fewer plastic cases all around. EVERYONE is looking for ways to cut costs.

Sadly, you are probably correct about this...

Posted: 4/20/09 at 6:41pmI LOVE the In the Heights type of cardboard/jewel case packaging. But I also had a sort of difficult time getting the CD out of the case for Next to Normal.

Posted: 4/20/09 at 6:53pmIt's not just about cutting costs. It's also better for the environment. If you can save money and help make a better world then I don't see the problem. I'm proud of each and every "horrible cardboard case" that I own. I'm proud that the Broadway community is stepping up and acknowledging that there needs to be a change.
