I like to use aaa.com to search for rooms. Under their triptik option you can plug in a particular address and it'll show you hotels that are in the area and what their price ranges are.
You can also search by address using expedia, hotels.com. etc. I prefer to check aaa.com because it's an actual map and you can physically see the distances. On expedia et al they just give you distances that aren't always accurate.
For example, I used expedia.com to get a hotel in SF. I plugged in the address of AT&T Park and found a hotel that said it was two miles away. Then using Choice Hotels Sports travel option I got a room for $77/night. While the price was good but it was further away than expedia had claimed. As was the hotel in SD that we booked using expedia.
When I was planning a trip to Cleveland I used aaa.com and ended up right across the street from the ballpark.
Now, not all the hotels in the area will be listed on aaa.com because not every hotel is affiliated with aaa. If I find a hotel on expedia that I like but can't find on aaa I'll just plug in the address and see how far away it is from whatever it is I want to be near.
Also, I like to check the hotels site because expedia et al are not always the cheapest option. They add on their own fees while the hotel doesn't have those extra fees.

We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
