I don't know how "David" Gamble is written, but only going as a gay male translation of the show (and film's) Daisy, doesn't it seem Rory O'Malley would be PERFECT for this?

David Turner played the role at Vassar and is involved in the lab production at the Vineyard--I'd say that's a pretty good indication that he'll be playing the role on Broadway, too.

I know you're just suggesting. Of course Rory O'Malley is going to be tied up for a while.

Since the workshop cast list did not list assigned roles, does anyone know which of the ladies will be playing Daisy?

Alysha Umphress, I would assume, since she replaced Anika Noni Rose in the Vassar production.

I'm really excited to see who'll be playing Melinda in the Broadway production. Any word or rumors yet? I'm very disappointed Anika Noni Rose won't be continuing with this.

David Turner is indeed signed to play David Gamble.
They cast a new comer but I do not know her name as of yet.

Alysha Umphress is in the ensemble for the workshop. Jessie Mueller is playing Melinda.
