"gypsy--avenue q is closing in march"
Is this official? Is there a link to the closing notice?

Posted: 12/6/08 at 11:29pmThank you for the response Smaxie about God of Carnage. Unfortunately my interest in the show has dimmed a bit now.

I'm going to threadjack for a moment, since this argument is going nowhere fast...

That's speculation. While no one is expecting the show to make it through the end of 2009, it should make it to the Spring. But spouting off that it is closing in March is pre-mature at best.

Gosh,
I really hope AVENUE Q stays open for a couple more years.
It is my favorite Broadway show. I am sad enough about Forbidden Broadway and GYPSY.
SAD. TERRIBLY SAD.
What will happen to the Kate Monster puppets?
I want one.

Don't forget about:
-Nerds
-Pure Country (which we haven't heard much about, but seems to be opening none the less. Its been at the major events.)
-Desire Under the Elms (with Dennehy, Pablo Schreiber, Carla Gugino)
All of these haven't confirmed, but have been orally confirmed by everyone involved.
Also:
Tony Roberts and John Cullum are in a new play that Roberts said would go to the Music Box if it went well...

preface: I may get hammered for this because I know a lot of people don't like the jukebox shows, but...
I have no point of comparison because I never saw JLY when he was in Jersey Boys, but Jarrod Spector is phenominal, imo, and if you've got a little extra time and money to spend you should check it out again :)

^^ I've seen both and Jarrod Spector is just as good as JLY, IMHO.
