Here's to CRY-BABY!
A wonderful show that many have liked. I think it is the most entertaining show of the season! I wish it the best at the Tony's tonight. Many people on this chat board said it would never make it to opening night and it would close during previews. IT DID NOT!
Then many posters said it would close the week it opened. IT DID NOT!
And then many posters said it would never get any Tony noms and it got four including Best Musical.
So clearly there are people who like this show. And as you all know I am one of them. I am so glad it will be on tonight's telecast and it will get to perform that amazing tap number. To all the CRY-BABY fans out there like myself let's be glad the show has made it to this point when so many said it never would!
ALL THE BEST CRY-BABY!

It totally deserves Best Choreography and I hope it at least comes home with that! Go Rob Ashford Go!
I'm all for Cry Baby Winning Best Musical! I love this show and if it doesn't win best chorography then who ever chooses the winners are completely Blind!

Would that not be the upset of the year for all the haters! I would love every second of it!
haha
It may not have closed, but it can't have made ANY money with the abysmal average ticket price and attendance levels. I wish I had the kind of money the producers obviously have to throw away. I would do far better stuff than waste it on something like this.
I love Cry-Baby! but dude, honestly..do you think it needs a thread of its own? think if everyone will start posting all their favorites tonight. it will be a spam disaster!
Why don't you two lovebirds go somewhere else to chat and let the grownups handle this.
Which two?
Noel&Cole & MrsBadCrumble85.
I wrote that before the next two posted.

Yeah please, stop posting pointless threads. You're giving us Cry-Baby fans a bad name.
And I'm asking, fan-to-fan, do you ACTUALLY think Cry-Baby has a chance at Best Musical? Let's be realistic.
I'm a Little Upset- number?

Not this year. This year a huge upset would be Xanadu
There is always room for an upset, not hell freezing over.
And I don't see much hope for them winning any other awards since they just lost the Tony for choreography to In The Heights
And closing notices will go up...when?
Predictions anyone?

i hope it wins one award and get a cast cd made too.
bryan, choreography was its best chance. And that didn't happen. Deal with it.
Yeah bryan I hate to break it to you, but choreography was the one award they really had a shot at. The best they can hope for now is that their performance on the telecast gives their box office a boost.

I hope the telecast boosts attendance but Cry-Baby's fate was probably,(unfortunately), just sealed...
They just lost the only award they had a chance in hell of winning.
And besides, when has a Best Choreography Tony ever kept a show open?
"And closing notices will go up...when?
Predictions anyone?"
Tuesday, I see them taking a day to see if the performance boosts advance sales.
