Posted: 6/1/14 at 1:16pmI know people were able to rush for Cabaret about half an hour before each showing while the show was still in previews. Does anyone know if this is still the case? Any chance of rushing for Cabaret day-of?

Posted: 6/1/14 at 2:05pmThe rush tickets for Cabaret are $47 and are the side mezzanine seats in rows JJ-MM. They don't, however, hold those seats for rush and so they only sell them if they have unsold seats in that section. It doesn't happen very often. The only other option is the student rush which is half price a half hour before the show.

Posted: 6/1/14 at 7:10pmI was just checking the site pretty regularly recently to get a visiting friend a killer seat (which did happen, thankfully), and it is exceedingly rare for those rush seats to be available. So, I wouldn't head down there before checking the website to see if they are still unsold.

Hello! I student rushed it last night, and I had a great experience.
They do NOT hold extra tickets aside for student rush. They sell whatever is available, like when someone cancels or if there are seats leftover and according to the lady at the box office there are ALWAYS seats left over.
The tickets are NOT $32, they are 50% of the original price, so they are usually better seats than General Rush.
i started waiting at 6:00, with only one person ahead of me and by 7:30, there were about 10 people on the line and about 6-8 tickets available.
This was available: one seat in the first few rows of the orchestra ($82), a few in the last row of the orchestra ($62) and one up in the rear mezz ($57)
Go for any seat in the orchestra, there are a few surprises throughout the show that only audience members in the orchestra would be able to see especially if you're an Alan Cumming fan
GOOD LUCK.
(btw i sat in the last row of the orchestra and the view of the stage was perfect.)

This is in the "don't believe everything you read" category. Today Sunday, I got to Studio 54 at about 8:30 am and no one was there. There was a sign in the doorway that said there would be no rush tickets sold for today's matinee. But I waited anyway, because I saw there were still some not that pricey tickets available as of midnight last night (as per the website) and I figured I would chance it.
A few people read the sign and left. Someone else asked about student rush tickets and were told to come back right before show time.
At 10 am the box office opened and a whole bunch of us got regular rush tickets. I don't know how many (I was first in line) but the two pairs behind me also got them. These are regular rush, not student.
So the sign was wrong...glad I waited.
