Do any of the ensemble double as members of the Kit Kat Klub orchestra, as they did in the original (revival) production?
I saw it in SF tonight and it appeared that, although the orchestra were costumed and some of the Kit Kat girls and boys carried instruments and blandly pretended to play them, that there were no musician members of the ensemble. I'd assume that most of the orchestra are local musicians, as is common with tours.
Also, the costuming and makeup seemed respectively less torn and bruised than I remember from seeing it 19 (gasp!) years ago.
all actors in the show double as the orchestra - they are really playing those instruments.
I also saw the show this week and the program includes detailed credits for which actor is on which instrument. I don't have it with me but I'll post when I get home.
Here's a recent video where this is talked about.
