Hi all,
Can anyone tell me the role of the "Two Ladies " in Cabaret. Do they sing the song "Two Ladies"? What else do they do? Do they double or have anything else significant?

They sing 2 Ladies along with the Emcee, and they represent Clifff's rooming situation with Sally. In the revival, one of the ladies was a man, Bobby, who Cliff had an affair with. The other girl is Lulu. In the original, the girls were Rosie and Lulu.

They're commenting on the situation. They're sort of exaggerating what's going on in the 'real world'.
In the original production, it was just done to show the depravity of the Weimar Republic, which was pretty debauched before Hitler took over. Hitler actually ran for election in the late 20's-early 30's on a platform that promised to "pull down the rotten house of Weimar with its sickness and depravity". And to 1966 audiences, siniing a song which is clearly about multiple sex partners and all sorts of other kinky sex was just about as kdepraved as they came (uhhhh, well you understand...)
