the only things I’ve heard is Damn Yankees at the Lunt-Fontanne, Beaumont is doing A Few Good Men in the fall followed by The Sound of Music in the spring. St. James is maybe getting 42nd Street in the spring?

860 needs a building MUCH larger than the Booth. The Majestic would be perfect.
"

....For a one man show? I'm sure he could fill The Majestic regardless but I wouldn't say he NEEDS it.

the possible COME FROM AWAY limited return is eyeing the Barrymore.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Mr Saturday Night couldn't give away tickets.  The Majestic is too big for just Billy.

Do we think Just In Time could wrap up in January and Damn Yankees could take the Circle, retaining the in-the-round staging from DC? Just In Time could be a situation like the most recent Hello Dolly revival - it was built as a star vehicle for one specific person, a few people replaced due to the show being successful, but they don't keep it chugging with new star after new star.

It seems thatIn The Heights is happening. Not sure about La Cage.
"

Neither have even had a run yet, so we don’t even know if the productions currently work, let alone if they are going to transfer.

City Center productions are fickle. It seems the expectation to transfer to Broadway has become commonplace as opposed to a special exception. The creative direction is also refocusing on producing shows that return to the original spirit of Encores, and so everything is not going to be fleshed out and ready to go.

This would be their ideal plan but for now they are looking at the Imperial.

LA CAGE isn't selling well at City Center for its two weeks. Plus Brady and Porter don't have good attendance records, so a Broadway run with both would require each to have a standby. And Brady isn't available in the summer due to him taping LET'S MAKE A DEAL. Odds seem very slim it transfers.

I've heard from more than person who has knowledge about the production that they absolutely intend for In The Heights to have a Broadway run, as long as its successful at Encores - which it almost certainly will be.

First off, Tommy Kail isn’t directing Warriors, it’s Jenny Koons. Secondly, i thought I heard somewhere that Damn Yankees was going into the Lunt-Fontanne with NPH & Juliane Hough.

We need to internalize the fact that directors do not have anything to do with theater choice beyond the basic capability to house the show they intend to create. Sure they can have ideal houses in mind, but that is not a determining factor of where things go from a real estate perspective. Shows take what they get when they get it. That said, obviously there are high profile producers that can get the pick of the litter themselves (Rudin, Seller, ALW).
