Huffman won the Tony for Featured Actress in 2001 for Ulla in THE PRODUCERS, and was nominated for the same award ten years earlier for THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES (just spotted the other thread on that show)
Found this interview with her, and in it she says that she still has ambitions to win another Tony and have a good movie role too

Do you see her winning another Tony for leading actress? What roles can you see her in?
I adore Cady and wish her well
"Now Ulla dance!"
Do we see her winning another Tony? Of course it's possible -- she's a talented lady.
She is talented, and she was terrific in The Producers. However, she benefited from the tidal wave of love for The Producers that year. I would have voted for Kathleen Freeman in The Full Monty.

I agree that she won because of The Producers' success and reign that year... I never saw her so I can't comment on her performance however. Featured Actor got 3 nominations that year for The Producers winning for Gary Beach... Really got a lot of love.
I gotta say though...from what I can tell she has unfortunately not gotten much work since her Tony win a decade ago. Just goes to show the highs and lows of the business.

I agree... That's what worries me about the business itself... I mean I don't know if I could stand not getting any good worthwhile work... If you have those doubts, should you enter the business?
Huffman's Tony win was a farce. Kathleen Freeman deserved the award that year, hands down. Huffman benefitted from the behometh she was in that year.
^^^^
Totally agree.
She was a riot and stole the show every night.
The Full Monty should have actually won a few more that too, imo.

If you have any doubts, you probably should not enter the business.
I think calling Huffman's win a farce is a bit harsh - she had a great part and played it to the hilt - but I think Freeman was more deserving.
I think her Ulla was overrated. She was good, but not great, imo. I really disliked her in Will Rogers Follies, but I also hated that show.
Freeman was amazing, and died such a short time later. She deserved that award, imo. Monty also deserved best score.

Love her. Loved her in producers, loved her in WR Follies, LOVE her as a judge on Iron Chef!
Huffman was hilarious on those episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm episodes she did (playing herself) when Larry was taking over the role of Max. I actually liked her in that much more than I did in the actual show.
