#1Can anybody verify that View from the Bridge really DOES have a rush policy?
Posted: 1/2/10 at 12:58pmAm thinking about coming into NYC to try the general rush for this on Monday, but I know posters here said that on the first night, the box office decided they were too sold out to bother setting aside seats...It says they're doing it on their website, but would love to know if anybody tries it this weekend. Thanks!!

From what I've read here and experienced myself, it seems that the specific seats are not blocked off for rush tickets, so if the show is sold out there is nothing to offer.
I was able to get the last SRO spot last night around 5:45. Standing Room is located at the rear of the mezzanine and the view from there is quite good. Plus, if you're house right you can flee the theater down the back staircase that leads directly out onto the street right next to the stage door.

Posted: 1/2/10 at 3:01pmHi Frogs--That's what I thought...was it so packed that you couldn't find a place to sit, even after intermission?

Posted: 1/2/10 at 3:43pmThe mezzanine was completely full and the only seats (2) I could see in the orchestra were in the first row all the way over house left. I liked where I was so I didn't bother moving down. Nobody took those seats for the second act either.

Posted: 1/3/10 at 7:09pmDid rush today. They DO set aside seats. It is GENERAL RUSH when the box office opens. 2 per person, $26.50 each. The seats are front row orchestra only (I think it's 19 seats total).

Posted: 1/3/10 at 10:00pmGot there at 12 today when the box office opened. We were around 10th in line. We then actually left to go check Let Me Down Easy for cancellations before coming back at around 12:30, at which point we got 3 rush tickets (they weren't the last 3). The stage is VERY high, mind you.
