I bought rush tickets to "Chicago" at 10am this morning and had a family issue come up and won't be able to attend. Does anyone know if you can use the "Past Date Policy" and use another night? I don't know who to call because I purchased direct from the box office. Not sure if Tele-Charge would help.
Any help would be great!
Thanks in advance!

Same answer as with any other tickets – yes, but it depends on the show's availability. Call Telecharge when they open the morning you're looking to go and they'll let you know if you can past-date your tickets for that day.

I don't think Telecharge would have anything to do with rush tickets. If, and I say if with very minimal hope, the box office would be who you would contact. Unless, someone in there is in a really good mood, I would say your chances are very slim.

Curious what time you rushed. I want to see Erika Jayne but wouldn't think the show would be that hard to rush.

I got to the theatre at 9:45am and was #6 in line. By 10am there was at least 10 people behind me. I was shocked at how many people rushed. And it was freezing!

I know they are owned by different people but what time did you go to the box office to ask to change? Or did you call?
thanks so much

Past dating is a courtesy offered by the theater independent of the show, and as such is at the discretion of the box office and seat availability I can't imagine that the Ambassador Theatre would not offer past dating, even for Rush seats.

For Shubert houses, you absolutely call Telecharge using the phone number on the back of the ticket. After you tell the Telecharge rep you have a past date ticket, they then call the box office for availability. If they're able to accommodate you, they'll ask you to provide the ticket number to verify it hasn't been used. You'll submit the past date ticket for a new ticket at the box office.
You should call right at 10 am when the box office opens for your best chance of being seated. If it's a 2 show day, they won't know if they can accommodate for evening until 3PM I believe. I don't remember the exact time but I've called during intermission at matinees before.
I've past dated successfully several times, including with rush tickets.

May I ask where your seat locations were? Thinking of rushing in the near future to see Erika. Sorry you were not able to attend that evening.
