I just looked up this show, and its promotional materials are among the most opaque i’ve ever seen. I liked the vibe of the promotional video, but I found it so hard to decipher what the heck this show is about, or to get any sense of what I might actually see on stage (other than a faceless Dolly Parton).Curious to see if any reports do come in, I suppose, but I don’t think they’re doing themselves any favors with what they’ve put out into the world so far.

Civilian is fine. Absolutely tiny rooms, even for Times Square, but that doesn't always matter. The design is nice but the whole David Rockwell/Broadway theme they promote doesn't amount to much more than a couple pictures on the wall. It was probably seven years ago, but I *still* talk about how 1984, which ran 100 minutes, did Friday shows at 5 and 9. Both far more conducive to an evening out than 7 or 8. Great to see more nontraditional curtain times coming up.

Whatever you think of the auditorium (I'm mixed), the common areas and general flow is a disaster.The escalators and hallways into the theater are comically, absurdly thin, and the bar creates a bottleneck that feels like a major fire hazard. I’m going to come at this from the opposite angle and say that even if she only serves 2-3 years that is a very substantial stain on a life. The best we can hope for at this point is that it leaves an imprint and she is rehabilitated.
