I eagerly recommend it to those who haven't seen it. It was amazing! Although I have no way of going to see it again, it makes me extremely happy to know that it still has a life off broadway.

I was planning a trip back to New York in October. I will gladly wait until spring to go back to NYC so I can see Caroline or Change one more time in LA. That's how much I enjoyed this show!

I'm not so sure I like this new logo they're using though...

This picture was taken at the end of CAROLINE's run on Broadway. It was in some of the last minute advertising, trying to get people into the theatre. It's really an incredible show. I don't think the art gets me into the show. I was never really "one of those" ... DGRANT ... please know this much ... WT is OKAY, but no where near the art and majestry that CorC brought to the performing arts. I think you'll soon be a CAROLINE fan!

I completely understand the reasoning behind it, but does this logo accurately represent the show? Hummmmm. I'm not sure this does. Still debating.

That's a good question. And I don't think it really does unless they are gonna tinker with the show a bit and have her smile a bit more. I do remember leaving the theatre, elated as I was, thinking "She could have smiled a bit more". Especially when she was reflecting on the good times in her past. My feeling was that it may have been one of the only things that would bring a smile to her face. This may have changed after I saw it (I saw it a few days before it officially opened on B'way).
About the logo - I think I like the original B'way logo best. It did not in any way influence whether I wanted to see the show. I think it's rather cool!

Yes! I'm glad that this is still life in this production of COC. Now if only I could go to L.A. for Christmas...

This place is full of dirty old men
And the navigators and their mappy maps
And moldy heads and pissing on sugar cubes
While you stare at your books."

Well I am so happy that everyone else is as excited about this as me. I understand that it will be in a huge space and the intimacy might be lost, but if LA is as excited about this as you guys are on this message board, then here's hoping that this will be a sold out smash that it was suppose to be on Broadway!

Just curious. Do you guys think that Taboo would have done better in L.A. than on Broadway?

rclocalz - Funny you should mention the large space. In an interview with cast members and creative team, I think it was the video seminar, they were taking about the B'way house as compared to the off B'way house. They were saying that during the off-B'way run it was so intimate and everyone seemed to be so into it and then so emotionally drained, audience and actors, that when they got to B'way, they felt they could open up the characters a bit more. Check it out. It is long....

I guess this means that HBO won't be airing it until after this production closes.

While I hate that I won't be seeing Tonya Pinkins on All My Children for a good stretch of time (she's still on contract and p.s. looks great in the opening titles), I'm happy that she and Caroline and the rest of that beautiful show will live on in high-profile venues.

I know at least a couple of them, including the understudies, are being talked to.
