This guy's alarm kept going off constantly and she had to stop the performance and asked everyone to check their cell phones, and finally the guy turned his cell phone off.
I must say, it was the most entertaining part of the play!
The cast is great though, especially Celia Keenan-Bolger, who also was fabulous in Merrily We Roll Along.

I know these reports are commonplace round here, and so most of us are desensitized to them by now.
But this one still shocks me.
Why/HOW could anyone just allow something as distracting and jarring and disruptive as an alarm keep going off and NOT just turn their device off? It was obviously not a matter of life or death. Some people's thinking is a true mystery.

To elaborate further, it happened three to four times, with long sets of beeps, towards the end of the show. The cast tried to cover the first time, then realized it wasn't going to end, so they just trucked through. It went off I believe twice during Stache's big scene, but basically through the entirety of that bit. Gotta give it up for Matthew Saldivar because he just trucked through it.
But when it got to the big emotional scene, it went off again, and bless Celia, she found a moment before it got too heavy to break the fourth wall, walking downstage, something like"Imagine now for a moment we all reach for our phones to see where the noise is coming from. It's the fourth time...go on..." She was so emotional from the scene, it took a second to realize she was addressing us. But it stopped, and the usher actually had to say, "Do like she said."

Celia better be careful because she may end up an alcoholic dance teacher who teaches self-entitled plain Janes how to dance the tango.
^LOL. That was my first thought too. Cassandra July...
Is it just that the ushers don't hear the distracting alarm or do they just not find it appropriate to locate the source of the noise and request it be silenced or, better yet, remove the patron from the theatre. If it's not considered an usher's responsibility, then security personnel or a house manager.
How many times can they tell you both audibly and visually to turn off your cell phone before the show? Not silent, not vibrate, off.
On regarding Cassandra July, why does Ryan Murphy name all the guest stars like Porn Stars.....Oh Ryan.
