Posted: 7/27/11 at 8:50amIm going tonight in Toronto and I hope Alice is in. Ive seen Alice 3 times on Broadway but my friend has never seen the show and loves Alice on the CD. Im hoping that since there are only 5 performances this week (all the matinees were cancelled as well as the final performance Sunday night) that Alice will do all of them.

I consider myself one of the lucky few who saw Alice in "good shape." My partner and I saw the first performance of the Chicago run. I can only imagine how things have gone downhill after hearing the rasp in her voice from the very beginning.
While Alice did a great job, I think a part of "professionalism' is knowing when to say, 'No, I don't have the stamina to maintain this role for (X) months.'
I am anxious to see this show go (Off-Broadway or Regional) into another production setting.
