I have the honor of being one of the performers in this show, which promises to be a truly fantastic evening!
And it's only a $20 cover charge! Crazy!
Those of you in the Los Angeles area should definitely check it out!
(Back of flyer, with list of performers, to be posted in a second...)

FYI, two wonderful performers were accidentally left off the flyer: Brooke Wilkes and Shelly Goldstein. As soon as the updated flyer gets posted on the EightyEights' MySpace, I'll be sure to update it here.

The small child in me just went "Omigod Debbie Gibson!!" :) That sounds like a great show- I am passing this along to some friends in L.A.

Hehehe... Please do spread the word. It should be a great night!
Marking this down on my calendar, Erika!
I may be working in San Diego that day but I hope to make it if I can!

Screw the whole "Stephen Schwartz" thing. The performers sound AMAZING!
I wish they would do this in Washington DC but there is NO CABARET space in the area.
Popular, if you attend, will you call Deborah "Debbie" for me? And let me know what she says?
:)
Also - when I can eat again, that menu looks AMAZING!
www.eleven.la! I'd make reservations but what would I do? Order water and a slice of lime?

Shira: Actually, you should make reservations if you want a table. You can get bottle service!

I wouldn't want to have an intimate evening with Stephen Schwartz...
EDITED for typo lol

I'm not sure what an "invimate" evening is, actually...
There a nice little blurb in Playbill today:

anakela - and risk getting hurt? Are you kidding me?
Aww, come on- it's not like I suggested that you should call Bebe "Lilith" or something. :)
I just have to say, the title of this thread makes me crack up.
He did something like this in NYC a few years ago, it was fun. I wish I could go but I am on the wrong coast.

Well, I didn't name the event. I just posted what Ryan decided to put on the flyer.
I don't care much for Schwartz' music, though I do enjoy some of his songs, but how I wish I were in LA to see this if only for the performers' list.
Levi Kreis is an amazing singer, I'd pay big money to see him singing showtunes.

Didn't I just read recently that He just did the same thing and the tickets were like $110 or something??
Bargain indeed!!! - just to see all that talent together on one stage!

Just caught the Jai Rodriguez/POPULAR part from Erika's posting!
Well...if anyone will look pretty in pink, it'll be Jai!

I think "Popular" may be the hit of the whole night!
The event is apparently already SRO, so if anyone wants to go, you're going to have to get there early and stand by the bar. (Not a bad option, 'cause the bar is awesome.)
And of course, you could call every day to see if the restaurant has had any cancellations, I suppose.

Just so you guys can see how lovely the venue is. (The cabaret space is in that gorgeous restaurant/loft area.)
