I'm expecting eye-popping visuals and a characteristically fantastic performance from Leslie Kritzer, at the very least."
Her line reading of "ROSSSSSSSSSSSAMUNDDDDD" just popped into my head."
Her choices in that production were bonkers and brilliant.

And if you can't do the big visual feats of Beetlejuice (a property not only defined by but almost ABOUT splashy visuals), why do Beetlejuice?"
Oh, I said AMATEUR theatre would eat this up. They don't care about incapability to do justice to the splashy visuals. No way in heck is this going to placed alongside Sondheim in the canon and suddenly pop up at opera houses or the Guthrie or something!

That's a misconception about Scoundrels. I was in a community theater production of DRS in a 99 seat theater with a very basic set and a small chorus...
This isn't me singing, but it's from the production: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels - Great Big Stuff
