The girl everyone loves to hate- I know, but Amber is one of my favorite broadway characters and I was wondering if there were any similar characters out there that I hadn't heard of so if you know any comment!

Similar how? Shallow bitchiness? I guess Matilda's mother would count.
Carlotta and Phyllis from Follies come to mind.
Galinda/Glinda from WICKED and Elle Woods from LEGALLY BLONDE immeadiately come to mind.

Huh? Those two are acerbic. Don't think they are shallow, spoiled brats.
Two weathered, bitter, aging women are just like a one-sided teen villain.
That blonde chick in High School Musical
Sorry, I read Velma instead of Amber.
Then yes, Sharpay Evans from HSM and the others mentioned are quite similar. Although not as similar, Amneris from Aida could also fit the bill.

Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly from Chicago, I suppose.
Glinda and Elle Woods don't count since they're very nice.

Maximilian in Candide
Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods
The stepsisters in Into The Woods.
Vivian or any of the cheerleaders from Legally Blonde.

all that jazz, have you seen Legally Blonde?
Fräulein Kost from Cabaret? Once you get away from the material, the characters are similar.
Of course I have! Vivian may not be a frilly blonde, but she's still a very bitchy antagonist who is trying to keep her man away from the main character.
All That Jazz - you should listen to the song "Legally Blonde Remix". Vivienne sings the first bit and she explains how she gained faith in Elle. What you said is true for most of the story, but it all changes at the end.
Sally Cato and Gloria Upson (from Auntie Mame/Mame)
Ginger, that song is one of my favorite guilty pleasures, I usually keep looping Vivian's belting at the end, because I'm obsessed with those notes.
Both Vivian and Amber have a change of heart at the end, is just that Vivian's is more developed and integral to the plot, while Amber's is more implied.

I don't need to think about characters because I've met real people like Amber von Tussle.
