shameless plug for Promises, Promises
It's not on here yet.
I don't really think so.
Nevermind.

Glad someone started this thread. A House is not a Home actually fits much better in tonight's episode of Glee than it did at the end of the first act of Promises. I thought it was great. She's also a lot more believable as this April character than as Fran K.
Stop calling it PP,
sounds wrong.
I just can't get over the fact that her arms and legs are like twigs! And that vein people often talk about was very apparent when she was singing in bed. I love her though, a lot.
No more PP from me. We aim to please. How tall is Chenoweth?
Chenoweth?
Thanks Blaxx...that's what happens when you try to watch Glee and post on BWW at the same time.
When she's singing Home from The Wiz, did anyone else get an Evita vibe? The hair really did it. Anyone?
She's 4.11' , I think. Very short.
"Home" was incredible.
I thought we'd be hearing that at the end...and so glad we did. Still a bit teary eyed.
Home was very beautiful.

That was seriously one disjointed mess of an episode.

I totally was trying to place that look as it looked so familiar but yes, it totally looked like a slightly updated version of Evita.
I thought it looked very late Sixties...like a tiny white Supreme.
They were totally going for Evita. Especially with that final pose.
She was terrific in this ep. I really enjoyed her voice in that pop-belt range.

Well the ending of Thank Goodness is pretty Evita-esque as well.
Anyway, I think it was nice to have a break from the ridiculousness and have some legitimate character/plot development for once. I had my issues as well, but at least something happened. And we weren't bombarded with 5 solos from Rachel-nice.
Does she do a reprise later in the show? I am watching it now and Kurt just sang A House is Not a Home. She and Matt are doing a duet of One Less Bell to Answer now.
Of Home? No, she just sings it at the end after making a joke about mounting the first all white production of The Wiz.
The thread title said she was singing "A House Is Not A Home". She didn't sing the entire song but incorporated a bit of it in the duet with Matt. I enjoyed the full version done by Chris.
Home was pretty good. Shortened, but good. I really enjoyed "beautiful".
I came in part way through and it all made sense to me - and I haven't seen many other episodes. The version of "House.." sung by Chris was so touching I am going to watch the episode again on the west coast channel at 12.
As for PROMISES PROMISES I submit 3 suggestions to vote on for official abbreviation...

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

I thought the episode had great music, but I'm reading reviews from non-MT fans and they're all saying the songs were slow and boring.
I thought Glee had done a good job of closing that disconnect, but guess not.
