re: Cheyenne Jackson on the cover of 'The Advocate'

Cheyenne is absolutely gorgeous and such a nice person. I waited outside of Xanadu to get a pic and autograph from him. He took a picture, signed my Playbill, then engaged in some conversation with me. What a sweetheart!!! And so-o-o easy on the eyes.....

No a man doesn't need to be showing skin to be sexy. It is the way he carries himself and quite frankly, the first thing I notice is a person's eyes and face anyway. I am a face person. If the face is great, what is under the clothes is secondary to me.

But that said, showing skin doesn't hurt!

He didn't have to be showing skin, but a good out and proud glamour shot would have been nice.

Watch it, Joey. I don't want to see you get suffocated in there.

Thank you for the article! Really cool photos. And the article is pretty funny--I like his laid-back attitude towards life.

CJ looks like the football player I tutored in math in high school, who was also gay, but not yet out. He confided a lot, and I didn't say anything to anyone, but he was under a lot of stress because of it. Every time I see CJ I think of him.

re: Cheyenne Jackson on the cover of 'The Advocate'

I was in NYC today and made a point of checking for the Cheyenne Advocate issue. NO one had it -- closest was an Apri 7 (??) issue. Guess they're going to keep us Xanadus waiting. I'm in next weekend for SP and perhaps a stop at Xanadu that night. I'll search some more, but could I please ask one of you kind folks to pick up a copy for me if I can't find it? I would be ETERNALLLY greatful!!!!

I went to Barnes & Noble today and asked when the next issue of The Advocate was coming out, and he said this coming Tuesday, April 1st.

It's terrific to see Cheyenne on the cover the Advocate, and he's certainly an amazing performer and a great guy. Brandon Voss did a pretty comprehensive interview, but ... for the record, Cheyenne didn't 'professionally come out' in the New York Times (Feb. 27, 2005). He was out months earlier in our 'Leading Men' column (Sept. 1. 2004) for Playbill.com. He was very gratified by the response and says he got hundreds of hits on his Web site at the time. Cheyenne's always been a class act, and we're very proud to have chatted with him at the start.
