Saw the show last night...third time total, first with Cheyenne.
No disrespect to James, but what a difference Cheyenne makes - he was fantastic. Funny, great voice, looks great in the skates. Aside from being a little wobbly on the skates, and going up a little on his dialogue with Tony, he was in great form. I did notice they added a second featured skater in the finally, but I think it was to either fill out the stage, or to do some of the choreography Cheyenne couldn't do yet.
Only problem? Really looking forward to Cheyenne's costume change in the finale...they better start constructing those short shorts ASAP.
As for the show, it's in a pretty good shape. The audience ate it up, Kerry is getting even funnier and broader in her performance. Mary and Jackie are still hysterical, of course. And the ensemble just gets better. Still a couple of rough patches (which I remedy by staring at Curtis' chest), but otherwise it's still bringing in very appreciative crowds.
i saw Xanadu back in its previews and i love the original leading man but Cheyeanne will always have my heart! <3333

Cheyenne was spectacular. Every time I turn around, they make thats how gayer.. the nw flags... PRICELESS. and Kerry getting flipped was great.
This seems like it was written for every strength Cheyenne has.
I'm just going to say it. "I LOVE CHEYENNE"
Could anyone explain to me why was Cheyenne originally announced to open the show and then this other actor(that now got injured) was in the show instead of him?
I believe he did the workshop but that's all I remember
He did do the workshop and the part was pretty much tailored to him. He bowed out of the production when they couldn't come to terms of the contract. Funny how it all came full circle??
I have got to get back to see him. Anyone work for an airline and want to adopt me?
have tons of frequent flyer miles :)
