I'm going to see the Chicago tour in Atlanta this thursday. Can I expect a good show? Please post your opinions.

Yeah, I saw it in January and it was great. It's a small show, but a very well done show. The direction is fabulous as is the singing and dancing. It's a great show, but don't expect a big, flashy type show.
so the sets and costumes are minimized from the Broadway production?

No, I havent seen the B'way show, but I imagine you can't really minimalize them anymore than they already are. It's a stripped down version of the show. It's beautifully done.
I don't know if you can scale down from the broadway production. The only people who have more than one costume are Roxie and Velma.
i saw it recently and im sure its the same as the broadway design. I couldnt see anything different. The cast is great.
really?!? i'm suprised. I guess the directors didn't hear the song "Give em the old Razzle Dazzle".
Not that i'm one of those theatre patrons that must be slapped in the face with strobelights and glitter, but i was expecting more.
I'm sure i'll be happy though, because it's my understanding that the show plays to sell out crowds.
It's really good. Michelle DeJean is amazing as Roxie. It doesn't need big sets to impress.

It's scaled down in the way that Sweeney is. It's scaled down on purpose - not from lack of funds or trying to save money.
I didn't think so. I'm a director for a regional theatre company, and I get accused of trying to be cheap all the time, but somtimes minimalism has value.

It's the same as the Broadway production.
Terra MacLeod (Velma) and Michelle DeJean (Roxie) are both stunning in their roles. Both joys to watch on stage and unbelievably talented.

You'll have a blast, I promise you :)
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
Playbill, you really will enjoy it a lot. The staging of razzle dazzle is really great. You wont feel like your not seeing something colorful or bright.

Went to the show last night and it was the best ever! Michelle topped her performance we saw in January in Huntsville even, which we thought impossible. That girl is so talented! The entire cast was incredible. O'Hurley hilarious as expected. Hope you enjoyed it as well!
