Ah, once again I stumble on a years-old thread and read through it just long enough to realize what I’ve done.

i saw the original movie in a Drive-In on Cape Cod, with my family, when I was 10 years old. I was the oldest of 3 kids and I remember my younger brother loving it. I sort of ended up loathing it as my brother wore the album out.

i saw the original West End production with Michael Ball in 2002. Had I been in an aisle seat, I probably would’ve left after the car flew over the audience…finally. It was an OK musical adaptation of an OK movie musical.  I really don’t think it’s worthy of a revival
