I'm wondering if Big League is completely non-union or does some Equity tours as well. I know Equity was trying to get them to sign some contracts during their Aida and 42nd Street tours a few years ago, but don't know what came of that. Hopefully they are Equity as I wouldn't want to see Frenchie Davis risking her union membership since their site shows her being cast in their new Ain't Misbehavin' tour.

I assume they're going to use the Broadway sets and costumes for this tour.
As for its Equity status, I would bet it will be non-equity, since this show is expensive enough to tour to begin with. At most, they'll go on one of those "Equity Lite" contracts.
I wonder if they will tour with a full group of kids, or just Jeremy/Jemima (and their u/s) and then fill in the chorus in each city.

Chitty: 2 1/2 hours of my life I will never get back.
I guess the name recognition will sell tickets, but this had to be the biggest waste of time and talent on Broadway. They should have saved the audience's patience and charged us $5 to watch the car fly for 5 minutes. That way they could have had 20-30 viewings a day!

OMIGOSH, I so agree with you. The only moment in the whole friggin' show. Hated it. (My kids liked it: but they are still little and haven't developed too much critical taste yet.)
AND...CAN they use a B'way set if they are going NON-Equity? While I don't know...I would think not?
Trust me: I will NOT be recommending this is if it hits Boston.

For the UK tour all the kids at each tour stop were local.

I loved Chitty when I saw it! Raul Esparza was wonderful, as was the rest of the cast. The place was packed, and everyone around me was loving it as well. But I'm a G-rated kind of guy! :O)
