Im afraid that chorus numbers dont do it for me as much. But, i am usually wrong.
Does a chorus number make it to the top of anyones best song lists? I cant for the life of me come up with any...
Hmmm...how about:
Comfort and Joy-Bat Boy
The Old Red Hills of Home-Parade
You Can't Stop the Beat-Hairspray
Another National Anthem-Assassins
Does 'Tomorrow Belong to Me' (Cabaret) count as an ensemble number?

"Make Our Garden Grow" from "Candide"
One of my all-time favorite Broadway songs is a chorus song- "One" from A CHORUS LINE.
I also like "Do You Hear the People Sing?" from LES MISERABLES, "Ascot Gavotte" from MY FAIR LADY and "Masquerade" from THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.
"At the end of the Day" from Les Mis.
Although my favorite chorus number is "Snuff the Girl" from Urinetown.
Ahhhh Margo - Make Our Garden Grow is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written...I never get through it without crying. I read somewhere, once, that the melody was originally intended to be used in West Side Story but was replaced with the song that is now called Somewhere. Both are gorgeous songs and very touching.
How about the song "42nd Street". That is one of Broadway's best and most well-known showtunes and it is a chorus number at its very best.
I really love "Six Months out of Every Year", the opening number from Damn Yankees. It's a great tune, plus it sets up the show so well.

YOU CAN'T STOP THE BEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"One Hand, One Heart" from West Side Story is the melody that, in slightly different form, was originally written for Candide.
How about WEEKEND IN THE COUNTRY or THE TELEPHONE HOUR from BYE BYE BIRDIE?
A Weekend in the Country- A Little Night Music
Side by Side/What Would We Do Without You?- Company (Does it count as chorus?)
God, That's Good- Sweeney Todd

The title song from Footloose... I love the closing number to that show.
Madame Guillotine (SP) was also a chorus number, more in the first version
Wait, can simple be counted as a chorus number?
You can't stop the beat from Hairspray... when I'm down I use to hear this song!
one day more - les miserables
A new jerusalem - King David
"Dirt" from Sweet Smell of Success
Block Cell Tango!
"God That's Good" is one of my favorites.
"Cell Block Tango" is always wonderful.
I listen to "You Can't Stop the Beat" when I drive and it becomes very dangerous.
SPRINGTIME FOR HITLER!!!!!
Wait, does that count? Because I know that Roger DeBris/Hitler has a big part, but a lot of it is the chorus...
If that doesn't count, and even if it does, I also love "Urinetown" from Urinetown. I love everything about that show.
