Christian Anderson in Ave Q?

I heard recently that Christian Anderson had joined the Broadway cast of Avenue Q, and is playing Nicky/Trekkie. Does anyone have any more info on this? Is Rick gone for good, or just working on the Vegas production? Has Christian started, and how long will he be around?

Good for him, he was the first Roger I ever saw in Rent and had the pleasure of seeing him in Full Monty too. Yay Christian!

Christian is excellent. He has the voices down perfectly - he sounds just like Rick.

Rent and The Full Monty, most notably. He was the only cast member to play Mark and then Roger full time. He was Jerry on The Full Monty tour and was amazing!

Anyway, I didn't realize Christian was back. I thought Rick was back for good, but I guess he's back in Vegas...?
I saw Christian a few weeks ago and he had the whole thing down. It would be nice to get to see Leo perform the WHOLE show; he did a really great job when I saw him, especially considering it was his first time and he had to step in halfway through the first act.

IMsooHyprToday told me that Rick was in when he saw "Q" the last week in March. I suppose he'll probably be back and forth a lot until the Vegas production gets opened. Good thing I have no prospect of a NY trip, I'd be freaking out.

Anyone know when Q is opening in vegas? I am going out there in a few weeks, and over the summer. I was hoping to see it. However, I am not sure I want to. I feel I am going to be to critical of it, having seen it here so many times, and being obsessed with JT and Foa....lol

I ushered the RENT tour Christian was in (the one that Daphne was in late 90's in L.A.)and I only got to see him go on as a lead once. It was the same day that his fiancee (at the time?) Cheri went on as Mimi...they were a cool couple! I saw Cheri at a mall a few years after that and she was surprised I remembered her.

Just saw it tonight and Rick was there. There was an understudy for Christmas Eve though. She did a good job but she was sooo skinny I couldnt get used to her.

Hmmm, interesting. I did hear that Christian may be doing the show in Vegas, but the news of his being on Broadway kept under wraps for awhile, so I hope I didn't miss it! I really want to see him!

Yeah, Rick's definitely not in Vegas at the moment, I saw Ave Q last night and he was there.

I also saw Barrett in Q for the first time - he was excellent. I like that he does his own thing and completely makes the characters his own.

I was wondering what Christian was doing, after looking over my Full Monty program the other day. He'd be great as Nicky, and he is much cuter than Jeff Marx (I know I'm being superficial.) Good for Christian!
