Conrad Ricamora just hinted at this on his instagram story.

Raymond Lee, currently in Heart of RnR, also posted a pic to his IG stories of a script binder from the workshop or reading this week.

"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."

I wonder who's in the Constance Wu role. I'd love to see Kimiko Glenn or Alice Lee.

Workshop held this week in NYC. Cast included Helen J. Shen as Rachel (Constance Wu in film), Alyssa Fox as Astrid (Gemma Chan in film), Liam Oh as Nick, and Jasmine Forsberg.

Isa Briones, Conrad Ricamora, Melody Buitu, Ruthie Ann Miles, Raymond J Lee, Kelvin Moon Loh, Giullian Yao Gioiello have been in previous readings.

I believe they are getting close to an out-of-town tryout.

Liam Oh from the Netflix series Boots and the Chicago Shakespeare production of The Notebook played Nick in this workshop! I’m a big fan of his, so I hope he continues with the show.

My main question is really, how much further will they change the ending to make it feel complete?

Spoilers but the novel ends with the main couple leaving Singapore after the plane scene. No engagement party where Mother offers tacit acceptance. It perfectly sets up the 2nd novel but this is specifically an adaptation of the film right?

Kind of sad. The books are a beachy but biting look at the upper class of a region little understood in the west. The film took a lot of the bite out to make it a more traditional romcom and I can only imagine how much further they'll dilute the story for this 3rd iteration.
