re: Clay Aiken to Receive His Caricature At Sardi's

I'm looking every where and can't find those credits. Maybe because they are community theatre productions?

I'm talking about Broadway and Off Broadway credits.

And church choir work doesn't count either.

But IBDB.com says:

"Well, I actually work for the Shubert Organization."

No, actually, you've been proven to be full of it, more than once, Fosse76. But Clay's return to Spamalot leaves no doubt that all your "insider information" is a bunch of lies.

"I'm looking every where and can't find those credits... "

They are from Clay's resume in his book, Learning To Sing.

Non-Paying roles are NOT professional theatre.

You said he never acted again after his first role at age 11. Most of them were paid gigs but that isn't the point. He has acted again. A lot.

NOT on Broadway or in Regional productions...

So roll your eyes all you want, he still hasn't earned it the way the others have, no matter how you stack it.

So, Cart...

Are you going? Or saving for that wax job?

As Will Parker in Oklahoma! Man, it must have been GREAT with a kid playing an adult!

Mikers,

Funny how you left this part out:

"Growing up, Clay did SOME acting in school and community theatre"

So again, you lose. He has only been a replacement in ONE show on Broadway, hardly enough to warrent his likeness on a wall with legends.

But they did give one to Kathy Lee Gifford, so that tells you where they are headed.

*Edit* You just hate me because I'm right...

No, actually I'm laughing my ass off that you and Cartwheel seem to think some children's productions (NONE of wich he ever had a lead in) qualify him to have a picture up at Sardi's.

Laughing my @ss off.

What's to explain? Clay got his caricature today. You are pissed off. End of story. Your opinion doesn't change anything. All you did was burn a few calories. Meh.

re: Clay Aiken to Receive His Caricature At Sardi's

Spongebob and Clay, two of my favorite characters.

A friend sent me a download of a kid singing This is the Moment knowing that I love Jekyll and Hyde. This kid blew that song away. I can't even listen to Robert Cuccioli's version anymore without comparing the two.

I've been a fan ever since. He has talent, pure unadulterated talent. It matters little to me how he was discovered just that he was.

re: Clay Aiken to Receive His Caricature At Sardi's

Are there any pictures of the caricature itself up yet? Regardless of all the other issues that always explode in each and every Clay thread, I am not a big fan of the current style of caricatures and am wondering how it turned out.

Thanks.

Still not really a fan of that style-- it looks like Clay Aiken hybridized with John Barrowman.

re: Clay Aiken to Receive His Caricature At Sardi's

It doesn't even look like Clay. Disappointed as Clay has such great features to do a caricature with.
