It only took nearly 8 mos. (2 seasons) to make it happen.
Other actors took a lot less time to get their faces up on those walls.
Many people deserve to go in before him.
*Rolls eyes*
Congratulations to Clay. May his next role be one he originates.

He'll never be back.
Don't count on that. He said he'd like his next role to have more singing than he had in Spamalot. I bet there are scripts coming in and he'll be back but not for a year or so.
Someplace, somewhere another fairy just died.

Hell for $120, my favorite.
If he were to create a role on Broadway I don't think that show would last more the a month. He would suck because no one in the right mind would ever hire him for a decent show.

Just because Clay wants an original role with tons of singing or whatever doesn't mean he'll get it. I want a three year contract with the RSC. Patti LuPone wanted to originate 'Sunset Boulevard' in the US. Not everyone gets their own way, and on the scale of "totally unlikely" to "definitely totally likely", I'm not sure Clay is that much higher than me. :P
When's the last time you starred on Broadway, big shot?
I bet Ace Young is pissed!
Just for the record, I was just being silly.
Why? He should be pissed.
He'll be playing Harvey next season in Milk! The Musical!.
Congrats to Clay. He must be thrilled.
I find all these petty little comments very amusing.
Apparently, the management of Sardi's thinks him worthy of a caricature, on their wall. Really, their opinion is the only one that counts, in this instance.
Sardi's has lately been giving this honor to, what looks like to me, any person that’ll show up for the unveiling.
I’m mean, Bob Saget as the replacement for ‘The Man In The Chair’?
Donnie and Marie Osmond?
Kathie Lee Gifford?!
At least a charicature should be cheaper than buying your own star on Hollywood’s Walk Of Fame.
Complete idiocy. Aiken gets a caricature for 8 mos of intermitent, so, so work, and the talented little dogs of Legally Blond go unrewarded for over a year of work without missing a day, working for bits of liver treats. No caricature for them. Unjust I say! What a sham! Shame on Sardi's.
Diva has a point.
StageFan, the Sardi's situation with those dogs must be rectified at once!!
"Donnie and Marie Osmond?"
Do you honestly think they don't deserve it??? What more do they have to do, in the entertainment business, to earn it???
Who determines which performers get a caricature?
I'm looking at the list on Wikipedia (assuming it's more or less accurate) and I'm surprised at how many real Broadway stars are missing...

What time does is this event anyway? Midday? It's probably no more than an hour at least, correct?

"Who determines which performers get a caricature?"
Probably whoever takes the phone call and hears the words "we have the funding to cover the costs."
