I was watching the Colbert report tonight. Colbert was upset that Tyson didn't show up to talk about his upcoming show.
"Go see the show, or better yet say you will see the show for weeks and then don't" (Not an exact quote but it was very close to those lines).
Is this going to affect ticket sales?

No.

And you're not telling the whole story. Was Tyson a scheduled guest that canceled at the last minute? Or was he invited onto the program, but declined?

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Pretty sure Tyson backed out at the last minute. The bit was hilarious.

I doubt it will affect sales at all. (And there's no way to know if it does or not).

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

...is there even much demand for it?

Aren't there only 12 performances? Hard to believe they'd have trouble filling the house only 12 times.
