Oh, I wish I could see all the "Live from Lincoln Center" broadcasts.
Any idea if South Pacific will get broadcasted? I would think it's up on their list because it's sucha big deal - first revival, but who knows.

PBS
And I thought they said Piazza was actually aired from tape... it was live?

Posted: 12/11/07 at 11:22pmI believe they aired it twice so I am sure it was recorded at some point. If I remember right the recordings are destroyed, (or maybe they go to the library at Lincoln Center.)

I can't wait!!!
I was a little dissappointed in the Tony Award presentation for Company (my most favoritest show ever, screw grammer!), with just "Being Alive" being sung solo. I wish they did something more similar to how they presented Sweeney Tood the year before, showing a medly, as that showed the actor-musician angle better.
And I do hope that this will be released on DVD, though I'm sure as heck gonna record it on my DVD recorder. I was so bummed when I missed out on recording both "Light in the Piazza" last year (becuase of my helping my sister to get ready to actually go to Italy!), and the concert recording of "Passion". I didn't know at the time that Live from Lincoln Center stuff usually only airs once or twice, as I thought I would have time to catch a repeat airing and tape it then...
I guess I'll have to scour around more...

I can't wait to buy the actual DVD. I'll probably buy like, ten copies and just start handing them out as gifts because I can't contain my excitement.
Which would get very very expensive.

those are gorgeous. I love the one of Raúl and Angel.
I can't wait to see what the DVD itself looks like, I'm such a nerd. I'm also curious about any possible extras

Aww, the first one made me smile. For some reason, "Not While I'm Around" came into my head while looking at it.
They are all quite lovely, actually.
And, with the DVD arriving on the 20th, well, that just everything ever the more spectacular.
