Congrats Hairspray and Nikki

Nikki took Best Young Actress and the cast its self to best ensemble. She screamed and cried. Gah I want this girl to sweep everything else (oscars,GG,sag,etc)

I am so happy for Nikki, I literally burst into tears as she reacted to her name being read, I want her to win the big awards for this, she is a true inspiration.

There is no way Nikki Blonsky will get nominated for an Oscar. And it is ridiculous that she won over Saoirse Ronan's brilliant performance; one of the best I've ever seen from such a young actress.

I mean, I loved her in HAIRSPRAY. But it sure wasn't anything that special.

They are still nonimated for BEST COMEDY And BEST NEW SONG.

Ry,not going to fight with you. I'm just saying my first post clearly stated what they won and you said "What awards did they win?" But whatev! I'm just happy they've won 2 already.

They lost BEST COMEDY to JUNO, no surprise.

I'm crossing my fingers for BEST ORIGINAL SONG. :crosses fingers:

I am very very happy they have won two thus far. And EXTREMELY happy for Nikki. :)

I liked Hairspray, but I'm so happy for JUNO!!

She didn't win Best Actress....she won Best Young Actress.

I wasn't too thrilled with her performance in the movie. It should have gone to Saoirse.

Yay. I love "Come So Far (Got So Far To Go)" and "That's How You Know," but "Falling Slowly" is beautiful in so many ways.
