For her memorable turn (?) in such box office duds as RV, THE PINK PANTHER, etc. The "Golden Rasberry" affectionately called "The Razzie" has nominated Broadway's own Kristen Chenoweth as the "Worst supporting actress in film for 2006!"
Congrats, and you go gurl!

Maybe she'll think twice now before selecting her next film project.
They're blaming her for the films sucking a**?
I hope she wins. That'll teach her a lesson.
I don't believe the Razzie's ever hold a performance accountable for making a film *bad* - they have often in the past nominated horrible performances in well received films.
But in Chenoweth's case - I can definitely say she helped make these films the treasures that they are! Kristin apparently went to the BETTY HUTTON school of over-film-acting!
Because she's a STAGE ACTRESS!!

Awesome.
I'm a huge Kristin fan, and I think this is really cool! I'm rooting for her!
Judi Dench is a stage actress too.
And yet she has no Razzies?
This thread is making me want those candies-turned-gum things.

Hey! Ms. Hutton had a great career!
And Rath, they are called Razzles....
I know!
heh- Halle Berry will forever be cool to me because she actually attended the Razzies ceremony and picked up her award for CATWOMAN the year she won worst actress- I believe that she's the only Razzies award winner to have ever attended, and that was just cool. Maybe Cheno will do the same if she wins? :)
I like the new "worst excuse for family entertainment" category.
Halle would go to the opening of an envelope if she were getting a trophy.

RAZZIES were a snack cake made by Dolly Madison in the early 70's. They were exactly the same as raspberry/coconut covered Zingers, except they were in a hockey puck shape.
Wow; I mean the movies were terrible but was it really her fault?
She got the best reviews out of anyone in RV and DECK THE HALLS; I remember quite a few notable publications pointing her out, specifically, in their reviews to say that she was good. I feel bad...
But there was just no excuse for any of these three films to be made in the first place, so...
'Maybe she'll think twice now before selecting her next film project.'
Oh yes..I know something as silly as a Razzie nomination would make ME think twice about doing 8 shows a week for a crap salary as opposed to a few weeks work even in a crap film equal to my entire paycheck for a Broadway run.
*rolling eyes*
Oh please, cooperross. We're all well-aware that she only does the crappy films for the money, but when she's getting a nomination for Worst Actress, that doesn't bode well for her reputation. So I'd think she would be a bit more selective before churning out her next Worst Acting job before she's banned from Hollywood all together.
Uh...well before you roll your eyes, you should actually THINK about what he said. It's true.
If Chenoweth doesn't take Hollywood seriously and only does it for money, then by all means, your offputting mindset is fine.
But if she's out there for other reasons, then your train of thought is all wrong.
Anakela: Bill Cosby (LEONARD PART 6), Paul Verhoeven (SHOWGIRLS), and Tom Green (FREDDY GOT FINGERED) all personally accepted their awards.
So did Halle Berry for CATWOMAN.
I think theres a video floating around online...

Uh...what?
I am so sick and tired of you.
SM2: seriously? That's cool- I could totally see Verhoeven and Green doing that, but Bill Cosby? The Razzies totally seem like something he would not approve of for some reason. Good to know though- I just remember this super big deal being made of the fact that Halle Berry attended, so much so that I thought she was the only one.
And hey, if we're gonna talk attending the opening of an envelope, I think the list starts with Sharon 'my contract calls for three nannies and two assistants' Stone- there's no way Halle's gonna get to attend *any* envelope openings so long as Sharon is around. :)
Hahaha
