I just want to thank and congratulate Megan on a wonderful run in Wicked and wish her the absolute best on her bright future! Thanks for one of the funniest Populars!
I'll double that. She is a fantastic performer and a consummate professional. NY stage will miss her. I hope to see her originate a role and win a tony and live happily ever after. :)
She's such a wonderful woman.
Let me triple that, because she is amazing.
megan rocks and i'm going to miss her in the role. i can't wait to see what is ahead for her... she has a bright future!
OH she is fantastic and I really wish I was seeing her final show.
I must say, I'm not even a huge WICKED fan, but Megan Hilty is adorable and extremely talented! She has the comic chops and a great voice to boot. I can't wait to see her strutting her stuff in her next show, which hopefully will be very soon! Best of luck to you, Megan, and congrats on a great run!
Well said, Foster!

I saw Megan after her first few performances in Wicked. I have to say...she was better than Cheno...which is quite an accomplishment. I used to be a Wicked fan, and still have great appreciation for the show....I think she created a unique theatrical experience for everyone...especially for her Broadway debut...She is a quality actress and I cannot wait to see her in more shows.

I just saw her yesterday. SHE WAS AMAZING.
I'll miss her
She was fabulous, and added a great interpretation to the part of Glinda.
She's awesome - I've seen her play the role three times and each time was better than the previous. Her voice is truly stunning, and I really really hope she comes back to broadway very soon. Love her.

I saw her 5 times and she improved every time.
If you are going to her final show, please post and tell us what is said, speaches, jokes made by the cast etc.
looking at the time, the show is most likely in the final scene . . . i'm sure that there are lots of tears

I wrote her fanmail at the beggining of May and still haven't heard anything back yet, do you think there's still a chance I may get a response after she leaves?
Anyways I haven't seen her live (I know kinda tacky to send fanmail) but from clips I've seen she's amazing. I really hope the rumors about her doing the tour are true (if not Seattle or Portland maybe Toronto still?)
She's wonderful with returning mail and she already received it if you sent in in the beginning of May. She'll most likely respond.
JLT wrote me back after almost a year. I mailed her in Sept 2004 and she responded end of June / beg of July 2005.

I wrote to Robb Sapp. I mailed it in December, I got it back in April.
I just got back from her final show . . . all I can say is amazing. She sang her butt off. She was emotional through a couple of scenes but she and Eden both lost it during "For Good". Eden actually talked through most of her solo b/c there was just no way she was going to be able to sing. At the end Megan took her bows and was trying to dash off stage but the music stopped and Eden stepped forward to make a speech. Megan mouthed something along the lines of "Oh God, no don't", then proceeded to cry through the speech. Eden broke down during her speech saying, "I'm such a cry baby!" but she did warn us before hand and asked us to cross our fingers that she could make it through without crying.
Basically Eden said that they had started out together as understudies sharing a tiny dressing room and that she loved seeing Megan grow and bloom. She said that we will never see someone her age who is so generous and caring and such a good actress. Of course she said what an honor and joy it was working with her. Then she asked if anyone else had anything to add and Derrick yelled, "She's gonna be a star!"
While I can't wait to see what Megan will do I will definitely miss her in Wicked. She truly is Glinda.

She doesn't strike me as someone who'll want to do parts like Glinda for the rest of her life. She had the option to stay, but decided against it, to do Vanities in California.
I hope that she begins to distance herself from the ditsy-blonde type and takes on some serious pieces. She has a lot of talent -it would be a shame if she spends her entire life taking parts like Glinda.

I am going to miss Megan so much. Not only was she an amazing Glinda, but she was one of the nicest people I have ever met. Her smile could light up the entire Gerswin. Thank you, Megan for everything.

I was there. Really disappointed by the audience. Megan gave it her all but didn't improv during "Popular" which I think was good because I feel her and Shoshana went "overboard" at Shoshanas last. For Good was very sad...Megan took out tissues during the melting scene to wipe away all the tears. Edens' speech was very nice. Eden wanted Megan to bow by herself and so when they both went to bow, Eden didn't bow & made Megan bow by herself and Megan was like "NO!!"
Great show!
