I saw her as an understudy last May, and she was amazing, and I totally loved every part of her performance.

It was 6 hours, I don't even like to have sex and eat bacon for 6 hours.

I love Megan Hilty! She made my day when I saw Wicked. She also sent me the nicest letter I ever got the day before my birthday!

Just because I got the lead doesn't mean you can't be my understudy!:)

I also wondered if that was Ben Vereen running on stage. It happened so fast that I didn't get a good luck at his face sooo . . . ?

And the improv . . . I have to say I was sort of hoping that they would do something. After Kristin's improv during her last "Popular" and then Megan improving for Shoshana's last day I was curious to see what they would come up with this time. Yes, the pink frilly underwear bit went a little over the top but it was fun to see them just having fun with it. But I think Megan was having a hard time just getting through it.

My sister was driving and wanted to get out before it got dark . . . that and it was a mob scene!

Loved her in the show in July. The only good part of the show when I saw it (LOTS of understudies in that day).

Before I saw her, I heard her and during Popular she told Shoshana to SHAKE IT SHAKE IT, HARDER HARDER, FASTER, FASTER and I cracked up laughing for like 20 minutes.

Just let you know that they didn't really improv because I read from someone that the higher ups had asked them not to. I'm pretty sure that's why.

Yes! Megan Hilty is so amazing! I saw her twice as Glinda. I actually just saw the show satuday, and she was so amazing. Great job!

Yea, Megan was apparently asked not to do anything crazy for her last, which sucks because she's the only one who didn't get to do anything special for her last. Oh well, she's still amazing, and the show was still fantastic.

And yes, that WAS Ben Vereen, he came out of the stage door after the show.

And for anyone who might find this funny:

Me & friends talking: Hey that was Ben!
Teenybopper girl: WHO WAS THAT?!
Me: Uh... Ben Vereen?
Teenybopper: Who's he?
Me: ...he was the Wizard until April.

And then she took off and got his autograph and a picture with him. Makes sense doesn't it? Haha.

Somebody did that last year for JLT's last. When Megan Hilty came out, the girl was like "Do you know who that is?" so I was like "yeah Megan Hilty...she's gonna be Glinda starting Tuesday" so she started screaming "OMG MEGAN! I love you! Can I have your autograph?!? Can I take a picture with you?!!?"

(Jenna Leigh Green just walked by and no one had any idea who is was)
Me: OMG! Can I have your autograph?!
Girl Next To Me: Daddy! Who is SHE?
Her Dad: I'm not sure honey.. well if she's IN the show then of all people YOU must know her!
Girl Next To Me: I DON'T KNOW WHO IT IS! TELL ME.
Her Dad: Honey, how am I supposed to know, I didn't pay attention to the show at all! In my honest opionion I didn't really like it.
Girl Next To Me: Daddy, I hate you.
Me: It was Jenna Leigh Green.
Her Dad: Umm.. Who did she play?
Me: The Wicked Witch Of The East.
Her Dad: (Confused look on face)
Me: Elphaba's sister.
Her Dad: You mean she was SISTERS with the green one?
Me: Uhh.. Yeah?
Girl Next To Me: Daddy your so stupid.
Girl Next To Me: JENNA! COULD I HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH?? I'M A HUGE FAN!

That really made my day.

Did Megan go for her extra high notes at the ends of "No One Mourns the Wicked" and "Thank Goodness"? I loved when she did that. She wouldn't do it often, but once in a while, she'd go higher than it was written. I think she would end "Thank Goodness" on a high F. Not sure about "No One Mourns the Wicked".

She hit them in NOMTW, but I DON'T think she hit them in TG because I think she might've been choking up a little bit. But I could be wrong. I definitely know she hit the high ones in NOMTW.

I think Eden and Laura did share a dressing room and when Laura left, Megan became the standby and therefore shared the dressing room with Eden

Yes, I wish Megan all the best of luck!

I saw her when she was still a Glinda understudy and left the theater wondering why she wasn't permanent Glinda yet. Truly hillarious, truly talented, I hope she does well in the future because she is amazing. :)

meganhilty.org (a very reliable website to which Megan contributes regularly) says that Megan PLANS to join the tour. She hasn't signed a contract yet, but you can expect to see her "back in the bubble" very soon.
