Yeah BEAUTY AND THE BEAST! This was such a great show when I saw it, and I am very happy it has done so well! It was one of the shows that helped me get into theatre, so it is quite special!
5,000 performances is a big number...

I know some people think it should close, but I love this show. I hope this show runs for a good long time! CONGRATS!

i don't think it should close... but i do think they shouldn't have downsized it... i saw it last year on broadway and i loved it... but the sets looked horrible to me... like they weren't broadway caliber so to speak... although i love the music and everything... i do want to see the grandeur of the show

OK, can it close now?? I would die if this show surpassed A Chorus Line.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Congratulations to Beauty And The Beast! This was the first Broadway show I ever saw, so i'll always have a kind of soft spot for it.

Same here. B&B was my first show. It's far from my favorite, but I, too, will always have a soft spot for it. It's also one of my fave Disney movies....and I loved seeing the "mini-show" whenever I went to MGM when I was in uni.

But the musical...it was my first "big show." By this...I mean a professional show not done by a school. THAT would have been Carousel or YAGM...Charlie Brown back in elem. school...and Annie was the first show that I was in back in middle school, lol! B&B came a bit after all of that...but it was my first. ^_^

How long has he been doing the show?
They could get Brad Little. I saw Brad in the Pittsburgh CLO as the beast and he was wonderful.
