Seriously, the set I designed for this in my mind, looks NOTHING like that. . .much more interesting and realistic to ground the very fluffy story. I had imagined a very over the top and sparkly set that gradually transforms to a more realistic and grown-up, sophisticated look, mirroring Elle's growth from flashy sorority girl to a high-achieving law student with a feminine (pink) sensibility.

I have a feeling that was the soroity house...and if you think about it is not that big a part of the movie...the show curtain from what I could see looked great "the tiffany heart bracelet."

It seems silly to judge Rockwell's set design from ONE drawing of ONE scene in the show. There are probably hundreds of drawings, some more elaborate than others.

It was the sorority house, as the girls are lined up on the stairs and Elle is about to descend for her date with Warner.

My memory must be fading, but I cannot remember anything about a Tiffany-heart bracelet. . .does this figure into the plot? It must, to be prominently displayed on the show curtain.

It is so nice to know that it took a 47 year old man 2 and a half years of working on Legally Blonde to learn the lesson that you don't make judgments based on people's looks, but on what is happening on the INSIDE.

Anyway, what was I saying? Oh yeah, MAAAAN OOHHH MAAAAAAN do I wish I was in their shoes right now. It looks and sounds so entertaining from the moment the first note is played. It looks UNBELIEVABLE! I'm definitely going to see it for whatever it's worth. Good or bad reviews -- it's definitely on my list of things I must see. Besides, it's the BATBOY composer and the HAIRSPRAY choreographer -- I can't lose.

I don't like all the Pink. I dunno, it just seems so obvious. And I don't get the show curtain. Not sure what that has to do with anything, or the symbolism.

First impressions can be deceiving but this show looks like it has hit written all over it in pink lipstick. It looks like it's being built very solidly by absolute pros and it will have a huge market to play to. They'll have to work very hard to screw this up and judging from everyone's track record, that won't happen.

I like the video tracking that Bway.com is doing for the show- it seems so many shows are taking this route of putting "it all out there" on the web for all to see. I think its great. I had to laugh at Jerry's speech about wanting to change people with this show. Jerry- it's Legally Blond. The only minds you're going to change is people debating if they should upgrade to the Totally Blond Edition of the dvd.

I wish this show a lot of success but I wish some new ORIGINAL shows would come along instead of all these jukebox flops and movies into musical sensations.

It'll be fun to see where this goes...
