Jane Bruce from Jagged Little Pill announced they stopped tonight too.
Yep, as predicted, basically all theaters have stopped doing it. Glad they have done this to protect everyone.

As of last night Book of Mormon is not stagedooring - came out and no barricades were set up and the guard told us that no one would be signing
Taking orecautions is NOT panicking, its common sense.
Whats the harm? People spit when they talk. People cough without covering their mouths. People have touched their programs and pens before handing them over. Why put tbe actors (or patrons) through unnecessary possibilities?

I was on the street over the weekend and passed by someone who coughed with his hands in his pockets. I cringed.
People are saying to relax, but that does NOT mean that this is overreacting, or being paranoid. Why people think they're entitled to face time with the actors after the show, that it's included in their ticket or something, is beyond me. They already have to take care of themselves and their voices so they can always perform. I'd rather an actor give an incredible performance, then go home and rest, than put themselves--and the rest of their cast!- at risk by doing the stagedoor. It is never a requirement for any actor. It may be your only time to meet an actor, but I hate to break it to you--when you see a show, there's never a guarantee that your favorite will do the stagedoor that day anyway. Someone on Twitter? or some social media wrote something about do the stagedoor just wash your hands really well after and I'm like, are ya kidding??? How theater "stans" are reacting absolutely baffles me. The entitlement the younger generation shows because of this shows where their priorities are. And it's not good. Can you just be thankful you even SAW the show??
That all being said, I do think it's very smart that shows aren't doing them right now.

I understand this is for safety and it is a good thing. I bet the actors will enjoy going directly home after a performance now. I

They're actors -- they pretend to "enjoy" it.

Tell that to actors like Christy altomare who always came out of the stage door, and sung her fans happy birthday out of the kindness of her heart. Y’all love assuming that all actors are dead inside and hate their fans. Lol.

Go watch Jane Bruce's Instagram story from last night and stop assuming that every actor hates their fans.
