I hate to be *that guy*, but PerezHilton reported her having seen the show recently and she went backstage. She has said she doesn't plan to go back to recording until she does a Broadway show, and let's face it--the producers of Chicago probably saw that and couldn't wait to get their hands on her. Do you think she could possibly be headed to Chicago?
She would sell out her run in the show very quickly, I bet.

Posted: 4/6/10 at 10:41pmnot a chance in hell she joins Chicago. Only way she'd appear on Broadway is part of an original cast of a big NEW musical(of course, as one of the leads).
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I guess I read it incorrectly a few months ago--thought she wanted to be on Broadway while on break from recording/touring. Again, my bad.

She has said she does want to do a B'way musical, but not now. She sees it as a more a steady life than the music business for having a family, she said. (She'll learn.)
And I imagine when she does one, it'll be in the first company not a replacement. A new musical? Doubt it. Those don't happen anymore.
