Posted: 10/29/06 at 8:45pmI cannot wait. Part of what I'm so excited for are the new orchestrations. I feel like even though I know this score extremely well, it's one of Sondheim's only shows that I don't feel really connected to, mostly because all I can go from is the recording, and it just doesn't sound like something I can connect to. I still love it however, and I'm sure that the new voices and orchestrations will give it a feel that I'll connect to, as well as SEEING it for the first time. Cannot wait!

I can't BELIEVE it's finally here.
I wish I could be there tomorrow, and I hope everyone who does go has an amazing time.

i REALLY REALLY wish i could see this in December
not enough money or time, and my dad doesn't want to see this because he didn't like SWEENEY
but i want to see this so badly! i could go backstage afterwards too, so yeah...im depressed
but i wish this show a healthy, happy run! :)

I'll be there tomorrow.. (granted I can get 36 dollar seats)
I am beyond excited. but I am actually least excited for the new and modern orchestrations. The original are brilliant. But considering this revival is set in present day the 70's themed orchestrations just wouldn't work. Now if they set this revival in the 70's, and gave it all new orchestrations - I would be pissed.

That's the thing, I'm usually not bothered by different time periods, but it just feels like a barrier here.

Hee, I was going to start a thread tomorrow entitled "In comes COMPANY..." but you've got me beat.
I hope all of the first-timers LOVE this show so, so much. I wish many proverbial broken leg to all involved, and I hope the reception is amazing.

I stopped by the theatre last Wednesday to ask if they would offer RUSH during previews...the man said there was no definite decision but that they would know later in the week.
I assume a decision has been made by now.

Posted: 10/29/06 at 8:59pmIt's going to be worth of AT LEAST 2 threads Em. You can start one tommorow for reviews from BWWers!

There are a whole bunch of BWW'ers going.
My assumption with rush is that typically shows that don't have it during previews haven't solidifed their policies yet -- since Company has a set policy, there's probably a good chance they will have it during previews.

how depressing we cant buy those...
anyways, is this show selling well? i hope it is!

Posted: 10/29/06 at 9:12pmI think it's selling considerably well considering the fact that it hasn't been publicized all too much.

I'm completely jealous of all of you that are going this week, but I of all people can't complain. I'd had Side By Side By Side/What Would We Do Without You stuck in my head all day and keep singing it. Novemeber 18th can't come soon enough! (but for MANY reasons, not just Company!)
Wanting life but never knowing how

Seeing that first row pop up isn't always indicative of how well it's selling; for a lot of people, the fact that you have to look up a LOT from the first row makes it less-than-ideal.
But it is selling pretty well.

What skittles said!!
Anyway, I hope that those of you who are seeing it sooner enjoy it. I'm so interested to hear opinions.

Posted: 10/29/06 at 9:32pmI already purchased my tickets to see this show in Decemeber. I am beyond thrilled to be seeing this show for the first time. I am sure to enjoy it. I can't wait to read the reviews that will be posted.
