This is all just sick! SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK!
The real sad part is that these tweens think she is gods gift to Broadway. Someone needs to de-tox them they and play Ethel,Liza,Judy and Barbra 24/7 :)
And yeah-150,000 people died in the Tsunami, and millions more are suffering...how about lighting candles for them.

Oh, for...I can understand being sad about a performer leaving a show (I'm bummed about Johnny T leaving "Avenue Q" because I won't be able to get to NY to see him in a show), but this? Good Lord.
As newyorkuniq said, there are FAR more important things in this world than someone's contract ending.

i was at the show yesterday and apparantly i missed the "candlelight vigil"...
of course we were all upset...i had tickets for saturday night as well and was devastated by the fact that she wasn't there. yes, i sat in my seat and got teary when i realized she probably wouldn't be there on sunday. sure, i sat in my seat yesterday with a heavy heart and got real teary through a few songs and when she came out on the stage. but i got over it. i realized this was a much more traumatizing experience for her than it was for us. people who are that obsessive need to turn the situation around and imagine how upset she must have been to realize that she couldn't say goodbye to a show that she loved and to her fans the way she had planned to. i'm sure the devastation was much more significant for her than it could have been for any of us.
