What lotteries are currently easiest to win? Will be in the city next weekend and would love to enter several, specifically thinking about The Parisian Woman, Junk, and Once on This Island, however input about any good lotteries to enter would be much appreciated.

People ask which shows have the easiest rush because you've physically got to be there so you have to commit to one and want to.pick one where you have a good shot. With lotteries, with the exception of OOTI, almost all are on-line lotteries and you can enter as many as you want. So there's no need to figure out which are easy. BOM and Wicked which may still do in-person lotteries also do digital versions if I am not mistaken. So go in person to OOTI and enter the rest on-line and you win what you win.

UncleCharlie - I do not think that the OP was asking about physical difficulty of entering lotteries, but rather which lotteries have the best odds of winning based on the number of people who typically enter each day.

If you are talking about New Years weekend, NONE of the lotteries will be easy....it will be mobbed.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Home For the Holidays..... but I don’t think you’d want to see that.

GingerbreadMan, I understood his question, but his comment "I would love to enter several" led me to believe he felt he had to narrow his choices to what he thought he was most likely to win. My point was that because there is no physical commitment required other than hitting a few keys on your phone, there's no point to narrow it to the easiest ones. Enter them all even if they are a longshot. There's no reason not to.

I don't believe OOTI is doing the in-person lotto this week, according to their website. In general though, I've won OOTI once during previews, and have lost twice since opening. It's the hardest in-person lotto to win in my opinion, and I'm noticing that the number of winners continues to shrink. Like I went last Wednesday and there were probably 100 people there and they drew for 10 tickets. I went on Sunday, and they were only drawing for $50 SRO so I left. The easiest lottos for me have been School of Rock, Book of Mormon & Kinky Boots has pretty good discounts even with the loser codes. Good luck!

EDIT: I checked the OOTI site again and they removed the bit about no lottos between 12/25 and 12/31 so I'm going to assume they decided to do them.

I've found Broadway TodayTix lotteries practically impossible to win - I've only had luck with Public Theater shows. As for other lotteries, I won Junk on the first try on a whim (and I loved the show, though others didn't), so that's possible.

Like someone else mentioned, all lotteries including in-person ones are going to be PACKED. Your best bet might be finding shows that are still doing rush that weekend and going for those easy ones (I think Junk has a rush, SpongeBob and Miss Saigon tend to have rush close to showtime but might be jammed with tourists during your visit.)

Not so. I won the first time I tried, and thinking that to be the case had already chosen another show for that time slot. The next time I entered, I didn't win. I was able to buy a cheap one though and they upgraded it at show time.

I won OOTI a few days ago.  $49 for a standing ticket.  Odds were pretty good given the time of year!  They did 20 standing tickets person.

The lady doing the draw was lovely, and at the time we asked about this week, and she said, "Yes, I heard there was no lottery, but no one told me I had the week off, I'm going to check!"  So I presume they changed their mind!

Amazingly wonderful show!  The theatre is so tiny and it runs 90 mins no intermission that standing was really fine.

Overall very happy I got to see this show!!!

We like that lady so much (we entered 3 or 4 times before we won) that we swung by when the weather turned cold to make sure she was dressing warmly. She's great. Really loved the show, too.

Is there a lottery for Cats this week? I'm guessing not since the link to it doesn't seem to be working. I noticed their prices for the lottery tickets increased from $40 to $55 over the last few weeks but didn't realize there may not be a lotto for their last week. I was hoping to take my niece to see it before it closed.
