Posted: 1/22/05 at 8:57pmThey're very good. Drew is probably the weakest lead, and many of the chorus members are weak. But Joanne, Mimi, Roger, Maureen, Tom, and Angel are really good. Benny is okay - I'm not crazy about his character choices. He plays Benny to metrosexual like.
"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive.
"Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot."
"No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one."
Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

Posted: 1/22/05 at 11:25pmI don't like how pop stars feel the need to do broadway musicals such as drew, he isn't that strong of an actor. HE's essentially usng his brother's TV show to get work how sad. Does anyone else have this feeling?

I saw the show this afternoon and it was great. Minus Drew Lachey...
Cary is a great Roger. He has the typical sensitive rockstar vibe.
Karmine Alers is my favorite Mimi. Her vocals are amazing.
Kelly Karbacz is also a spunky ditzy Maureen. And the understudy is even great. (Caren)
Mark Richard Ford is also my favorite Collins. My god that man can belt out those notes. His 'Ill Cover You: Rep.' is really heart wrenching.
And everyone else is great. I just don't like Drew's singing...at all.

Diana Kaarina, wasn't she dorthy on the millie tour for a while? if it was her, i really liked her, she was funny.
and am also feelin' the karmine love...out of the...7 (?) mimi's i have seen, she is my favorite. well, i thought krystal was amazing as well, so they are kind of tied, but i need to see krystal again - she was my first mimi so i'm thinking i might be a little biased
