"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Just finished "I'm the Greatest Star" and moving on to "I'd Rather Be Blue Over You (Then Be Happy With Somebody Else)" from the soundtrack to Funny Girl.
"Picture "The View," with the wisecracking, sympathetic sweethearts of that ABC television show replaced by a panel of embittered, suffering or enraged Arab women" -the Times review of Black Eyed

"This is what I trained to do, and this is what I love about theater. What I love about being an actress is being able to really look into myself and understand another human being. And out my own self, to shape and form and fashion a real human being--and to present that in such a way that people see something of themselves or their own understanding in that human being."

Wicked and Rent..I'm at work, writing a stupid paper for class and I fortunatly have a great imagination so I am still "listening" to the Cast recordings in my head. I just have to make sure I don't start humming along and annoy people. Uh Nessa there's something I should confess-a...that cracks me up for some odd reason. I freakin love Idina Menzel. I wish I could have seen her in both Rent and Wicked. Oh well I will have to wait for the movie (Rent) to come out in November!
"All the while making faces like a baby platypus who forget to take some Beano before eating a chimichanga." FindingNamo in reference to Jessica Simpson's singing.
